On 2nd September, 2025, ORGAN India hosted a press conference to proudly felicitate our athletes who made India shine at the World Transplant Games 2025 in Dresden, Germany with a record haul of 63 medals.

he event brought together transplant athletes, donors, doctors, supporters, and members of the media to celebrate the team’s achievements and to further the message of organ donation and transplant awareness.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Mallika Nadda, President, Special Olympics Bharat praised the athletes for representing India with courage, grace, and determination. In her address, she lauded their “incredible spirit of resilience and unity,” calling them “living symbols of the transformative power of organ donation.” She also congratulated ORGAN India for its leadership in building an ecosystem that supports transplant recipients through awareness, rehabilitation, and sports.

Ms. Anika Parashar, Chairperson of the Parashar Foundation, expressed pride in the team’s performance and gratitude to the many partners who made the journey possible — including Dinesh Vyas Trust, Subros, Puma, Manav Rachna Sports Science Centre, Organ Transplant Trust, and Macleod’s Pharma. Several athletes shared personal stories of survival, hope, and gratitude, underscoring the message that every medal won was a victory for life itself.

The conference concluded with a felicitation ceremony for athletes, marking a proud moment for India’s transplant community and reinforcing ORGAN India’s continued commitment to expanding transplant sports and organ donation awareness across the country.
